We’re proud of our progress toward our climate goals. More details are available in our latest CDP disclosure.

• 100% renewable electricity
  In 2025, we matched 100% of our annual electricity use with renewable energy, and we have avoided more than 4 million metric tons of carbon emissions since 2020.
• Sustainable buildings
  New buildings are designed in alignment with green standards such as LEED and Green Globes, and we have retrofitted existing buildings with energy-efficient LED lighting and HVAC systems. We partnered with the World Economic Forum and The Clean Air Fund’s Alliance for Clean Air, the first global private sector initiative to establish a method for quantifying air pollutant emissions from our buildings.
• Efficient data centers
  Our data centers use automated energy management with real-time energy data, and next-generation architectures that leverage Open Compute Project standards to optimize power usage effectiveness (PUE). We deploy high-efficiency cooling systems that combine approaches like closed-loop and non-evaporative liquid cooling systems that reuse water, air-side economization, rear-door heat exchangers, hot/cold aisle containment, and automated controls.
• Sustainable hardware
  Our hardware is designed for longevity, repairability, and recyclability. We use efficient IT infrastructure, integrated phase-shedding in power supply design, and AI and IT workload-optimized firmware to avoid wasted energy and increase efficiency. Our product design teams continually upgrade server configurations to minimize embedded and operational carbon, with select servers ENERGY STAR certified.
• Supply chain engagement
  By 2025, 100% of key suppliers—representing more than 80% of our spend—had environmental programs in place, and more than 80% had set emissions reduction targets. We collaborate with suppliers for improved product data and emissions reporting through the Responsible Business Alliance.
• Air travel reduction
  Since 2015, we’ve reduced employee air travel emissions by 68% by increasing our use of web conferencing, limiting nonessential travel, and collaborating with travel providers to reduce environmental impacts of travel.

We’re committed to achieving net-zero emissions across our global value chain by 2050 and halving total greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. We will continue to power our office operations and public cloud services with carbon-free electricity, and rigorously track and report annual climate data with third-party assurance.

With rapid AI growth driving our expansion of Oracle Custom AI Data Centers and high-performance AI cluster capacity, we anticipate a near-term rise in energy use and emissions, particularly from capital goods. This reflects strong customer demand and innovation, but also means we must continually evolve how we measure and manage climate impacts.

• 20% reduction in carbon emissions per megawatt of IT capacity by 2030
  Reduce carbon emissions per megawatt of IT capacity by 20% by 2030, relative to a 2020 baseline. This ensures that as our total cloud and AI capacity grows, each computing unit is delivered more efficiently, with a lower carbon footprint.
• 100% carbon-free electricity for our Oracle Custom AI Data Centers by 2035
  Power our emerging Oracle Custom AI Data Centers, including dedicated AI clusters, with 100% carbon-free electricity by 2035. This will allow us to invest in scalable clean energy solutions for future AI growth.

Looking ahead, Oracle plans to advance progress toward our emissions goals by evolving our operations and partnerships and applying a diverse set of strategies, including the following:

• Decarbonizing energy supply:
  We plan to expand renewable and carbon-free energy sourcing—especially for our growing Oracle Custom AI Data Centers that include large, dedicated AI clusters. We plan to sign long-term solar and wind power purchase agreements and explore scalable, emerging clean energy technologies that also support grid stability, including nuclear and energy storage.
• Enhancing building and data center efficiency
  We plan to raise energy efficiency standards across our facilities, introducing next-generation cooling, deploying next-generation cooling, phasing out refrigerants and chemicals with high global warming potential, and adopting low-carbon construction materials. In addition, our regular assessments and upgrades will help keep us at the forefront of data center operations and enable compliance with standards such as the EU Energy Code of Conduct and ISO 14001.
• Reducing upstream and downstream server and IT-related emissions
  We plan to refine supplier requirements for renewable energy and recycled content, seek lower-carbon, longer lasting materials and products through supply chain innovations, and expand product lifecycle assessments. We will continue to scale our hardware take-back and reuse initiatives that maximize asset lifespans via laptop, IT component and server hardware redeployment.
• Promoting clean and efficient transportation
  We plan to continuously improve logistics and transportation by incentivizing sustainable commuting, partnering with travel providers on solutions such as sustainable aviation fuel, and transitioning more of our business vehicle fleet to electric vehicles.
• Scaling carbon removals
  We plan to regularly assess high-quality carbon removal projects and increase procurement as our operational and value chain emissions evolve.
• Advocacy and policy engagement
  We plan to continue to actively participate in industry collaborations and public policy initiatives that support responsible growth and advance sustainability standards across our industry and value chain.

• Landfill waste reduction
  Since 2015, we’ve achieved a 63% reduction in landfill waste at owned facilities, thanks to expanded recycling, composting, and diversion programs across our campuses.
• Circular product design
  We design Oracle hardware with longevity, repairability, and recyclability in mind. Our take-back and recycling initiatives enable 99% of electronic waste from our datacenters that we or our partners collect is responsibly processed and diverted away from landfill through our global asset recovery network.

As we set new goals for the future, we are committed to removing waste from the value chain and keeping valuable materials in circulation.

• 90% landfill waste diversion or avoidance by 2035
  We aim to divert or avoid at least 90% of landfill waste from our offices, data centers, and hardware product lines by 2035. This commitment aligns our operations with global zero waste principles and emerging regulations, such as the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.

We’re working to embed circularity across our operations and supply chain to measurably reduce waste and transition toward a circular economy.

• Supplier collaboration
  Our supplier partnerships will increasingly be shaped by recycled content and sustainable product criteria, guided by responsible sourcing frameworks. We plan to leverage supplier scorecards to track progress.
• Designing for circularity
  We plan to continue innovating product and packaging design to reduce material use, increase recycled content, and extend product lifespans.
• Reducing material inputs
  We’re working to shrink the total volume of materials we consume by rethinking product requirements, increasing efficiencies in operations, and partnering with our supply chain to support lighter, lower-waste solutions.
• Continued e-waste recovery and reuse
  We plan to continue scaling closed-loop asset recovery, remanufacturing, and hardware reuse programs. We’ll seek to maximize opportunities to reuse parts within our value chain before recycling externally via third-party vendors.
• Expand on-site infrastructure
  To maximize landfill diversion, we plan to expand composting programs, introduce new recycling streams, and further integrate circularity principles into hardware and packaging design.

• Water efficiency
  Since 2015, we have reduced potable water use at owned facilities by 53% through investments in high-efficiency data center cooling, low-flow fixtures, water recycling systems, and drought-smart landscaping.
• Global conservation work
  For over three decades, we have supported biodiversity preservation by donating both funding and technology to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, advancing research and wildlife protection. As a founding funder of National Geographic’s Pristine Seas, we’ve helped protect more than 6.9 million square kilometers of ocean. Our ongoing support of Save the Redwoods League will help enable restoration of more than 70,000 acres of California redwood forest.

We remain committed to responsible water stewardship and the protection of biodiversity as core pillars of our environmental strategy.

• Halve water use in water-stressed regions by 2035
  We are setting a goal to halve our water use in areas experiencing high water stress, against a 2025 baseline. This will be measured in water use per megawatt of IT capacity in data centers, and water use per square foot in office buildings.
• Strengthen local biodiversity
  We’re taking greater steps to help preserve natural habitats as our business grows so the places where we build and operate remain healthy for both people and wildlife.

• Water-efficient operations
  We plan to use high-efficiency cooling and power systems, expand water reuse and recycling practices, and continue responsible landscaping across our global footprint.
• Partnering with suppliers
  We’re committed to partnering closely with our data center suppliers to improve water data quality, reporting transparency, and operational efficiency. This includes working together to adopt water-saving technologies, set robust reporting standards, and embed water stewardship in every new and existing facility.
• Sustainable siting
  New Oracle sites will be screened for water risk and potential impacts on biodiversity, using science-based methodologies to guide our decisions and minimize impact.
• Restoration and replenishments
  We plan to deepen our collaboration with local water authorities and conservation partners to pursue projects that restore habitats, replenish water tables, and enhance biodiversity, future-proofing operations and leaving a positive impact on local communities.
